Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi

1236 Longworth H.O.B

Washington, D.C. 20515

Dear Speaker Emerita Pelosi,

We want to take a moment in this appreciation letter to sincerely recognize the extraordinary and inspiring service you have provided to our country over many years. Your recent announcement not to seek re-election is understandable, allowing you to spend well-deserved time with your family and focus on the causes and projects that matter to you.

Throughout your distinguished career, you have achieved numerous milestones that significantly improved the lives of the American people. Your leadership in healthcare advocacy, particularly with the passage of the Affordable Care Act in 2010, ensured that millions gained access to essential health services. Your dedication extends beyond healthcare; you have been a strong advocate for HIV healthcare and access, Women's Rights, LGBTQ+ Rights, and have worked tirelessly to combat economic disparity. Furthermore, you have supported programs that advanced social welfare and addressed climate change through effective legislation.

On behalf of Nurses for America, a grassroots organization of nursing professionals committed to supporting policies and candidates that safeguard healthcare, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for your leadership and unwavering dedication to democratic principles. Your commitment to the values that matter most to our country has brought hope to all those dedicated to freedom and justice. Thank you for your relentless work and for being a steadfast advocate for positive change. Your leadership has inspired us all, and we are deeply grateful for your service.

Sincerely,

Core Leadership Team, Nurses for America
